To me, nature isn’t just something I observe—it’s something I connect with. I talk to the trees, sky, wind… and whatnot; sometimes, I feel like they talk back.
In their silence, I hear a quiet symphony that speaks to my heart. This poem, ‘The Symphony of Nature – An Infinite Silent,’ is my attempt to capture those feelings and share that connection. I hope it speaks to you in its way.
The Symphony of Nature - An infinite silence As the wind brushes past me, it speaks with its invisible touch, A language unspoken, yet understood deep within, The rain, in delicate droplets, composes a melody, A rhythm that echoes within saying, "Dance, jsut dance". The trees weave their hands with mine, Dancing in harmony with unseen air, While the sky blushes, shifting from blue to crimson, As if hiding secrets too vast to bear. The ocean mirrors me with its wrinkled waves, As each ripples reflecting thoughts that drift and dissolve. The boundless stars twinkle their ageless eyes, Watching, waiting, as if they know more than they show. The moon brightens its face, serene and calm, While the sun sets, quietly giving in to the night. All my miseries dissolve as nature whispers, In its unspoken symphony of silence that says, "Everything matters, and yet, nothing does". This silence-it speaks louder than words, When meaning fades and questions go unanswered. Yet the silence can turn wild, the breeze becomes a storm, Reminding me of the duality that nature holds- Soft and nurturing, yet fierce and untamed. And so, I ponder its mystifying ways, How stillness can suddenly erupt into chaos, How fire burns within, and water flows without- Both sustaining and destroying, Both questioning and answering. In the dark, I search for the unknowable, A mystic longing for what lies beyond sight, For truths hidden in shadows, in stars, In the eternal void that whispers, "Keep searching". What truly matters? Perhaps nothing, But in this nothingness lies everything, For the search itself is the meaning, And the acceptance of it, the quiet salvation. Nature teaches me to embrace the silence, To love the stillness and wheather the storms, To lose myself in its wild, infinite beauty, And to accept what I cannot know, For even the dark holds a flicker of light, Or maybe just a reminder that the search is the meaning. - Supriya Shivakumar
